On September 10 World Suicide Prevention Day, RINO amsterdam organizes the congress: “Suicide prevention: from well-meaning to professional” The Suicide Prevention Congress of 2020 will be a hybrid congress due to the corona measures. You can therefore participate interactively in this conference both physically and digitally.
One of the keynote speakers is Dr. David Jobes, inventor of the Collaborative Assessment & Management of Suicidality (CAMS) approach. Partners in organizing this conference include 113 suicide prevention, IASP (International Association Suicide Prevention), GGZ Rivierduinen, the NIP (Dutch Institute of Psychologists) and the Ivonne van der Ven foundation.
All organizations that are involved with suicide prevention and think better education about suicide prevention are super important. The reason and inspiration for the conference is the petition that was presented to State Secretary Paul Blokhuis in October 2019. The congress is entirely devoted to training mental health professionals who may have to deal with suicidality and suicide prevention in their field.
There will be several speakers, each with their own expertise in the field of suicide prevention. One of the keynote speakers is Dr. David Jobes, inventor of the Collaborative Assessment & Management of Suicidality (CAMS) approach.
